“Rhythms of Africa” A Musical Journey Debuts at The FACE AWARD 2014

“Rhythms of Africa” A musical journey that describes the movement of ancient rhythms sprung from the souls of vibrant cultures and carried by hand and heart from Africa to the Caribbean and the Americas debuts during the FACE 2014 in Atlanta, GA. March 1, 2014.

The International Cultural Exchange Programs kicks off on February 18-27 to benefit non-profit charity organizations for HIV/AIDS in Africa. The workshop is a youth empowerment program that creates a source of inspiration for 60 high risk and/or under privilege youngsters between the ages of 15 and 18 years who have never played drums before to learn to play percussion from Willie Stewart, former percussionist of the acclaimed international group “Third World” and leads them into the confidence to perform music from Africa, Trinidad, Jamaica, Brazil and Cuba at the F.A.C.E Award Dinner 2014.

Rhythm Drummers

They will be joined by 20 professional international musicians and artists in two unforgettable performances they’ll cherish forever as their families and community watch as they perform before a large audience promising a renewal of interest that is essential for building team work, self esteem, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

The Rhythms of Africa Concert will perform at the F.A.C.E Award 2014 Banquet Dinner to benefit Embrace Music Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to restore, preserve, and fortify the impact of music education, appreciation, and performance in schools and communities to amplify its role in the development of children and families.
