Nigerian Lawyers Association, USA – Swearing In Ceremony 2016

New York, New York: The Nigerian Lawyers Association USA recently swore in new executive officers and members of the Board of Directors to steer its affairs in the year ahead. The swearing in ceremony took place in the ceremonial Court Room of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and was presided over by the Honorable George B. Daniels with some other Judges attending including the Honorable Judge Jude Obasi Nkama, Judge Forthright, and Judge Oliver O. Mbamara. Some founding members of the association such as Ben Okeke Esq., Shamsey Oloko Esq, and Olayinka DanSalami Esq. were recognized. A number of Law students from Nigeria also witnessed the ceremony. The event was moderated by Attorney Shamsey Oloko, a former president of the Association. After remark by Judge Daniels and after the swearing in protocols, the NLA President Nexus Sea gave his remark and this was followed by a photo session and a networking reception featuring a discussion panel.

The NLA Executive Officers sworn in include Lydia Obasi-Hills, Vice President; Conway Ekpo, Treasurer; Stephanie Ijoma, Secretary; Eunice Adeleke, Public Relations Officer; and Ifiok Nwa, Parliamentarian. The Board of Directors sworn in are Abayomi Ajaiyeoba Whint, Chisom Ananaba, Mariam Sanni-Adigun, and Shereefat Balogun. Pictures By African Events.
