African Anglican Church Celebrate Baptism Mass For Children

Bronx, New York: The Anglican Church for the Ibo Community (Anglican Uka Ndi Igbo) in the Bronx, recently held a baptism/christening mass for a number of the new-born children in the congregation. Among those baptized were Chimdindu Chukwuemeka Nnorom, the new born child of Sir Felix and Lady Gold Nnorom; Divine Ugochi Ekeijeh and Precious Uchechi Ekeijeh, daughters of Mr and Mrs Michael Ekeijeh. In attendance were friends and relatives from around the tri-State area as well as other members of the church.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Members of the congregation converged as usual at the location of the church on the Grand Concourse in the Bronx. The priest, Reverend Ben Nnaji welcomed them and then commenced the mass. During the mass, the priest paused to conduct the baptism of the children with  the help of the catechist and choir singing melodious tunes in the background where necessary. After the baptism, the mass continued and concluded. Light refreshment were served to members of the congregation as well as some guests in attendance.  Photo Coverage Below
