HOW IT HAPPENED: There was cocktail (and later dinner). The procession of chiefs and other top dignitaries into the hall was observed. Chief Njoku and his wife (Lolo S.C. Njoku) then entered and took their seats from where they acknowledged greetings from the elated crowd of attendees. The blessing of the kola nut was done by Chief Obilor, while the inter-denomination prayer was led by Rev. Paul Ekezie and Imam Sammy Gandi. Chief Njoku, Chairman and CEO of Trans Atlantic Airlines, delivered his address titled "Making a Difference For The Traveler." There was the cutting of the ribbon, and introduction of the TAA team. Dinner was then held, during and after which many dignitaries including the Ambassador of Sieraleone to the and the representative of the Nigerian Ambassador to the United States gave their speeches. An African cultural dance group performed for the audience, after which Chief and Lolo Njoku opened the dance floor for an all night music and dance. Music was by DJ Kwash. MC was the eloquent Professor Chudi Uwazuruike. Vote of thanks was by Lolo S.C. Njoku. Below is The Photo Story.. |
