Opening of St. Albans Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Queens, New York, Feb. 2004

    A Nigerian Physical Therapist, Mr. Henry Ebem recently opened a Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Queens, New York. The Center which is well equipped with state of the arts medical equipments, contains a gym, therapy rooms, several physician offices, extensive ward, and occupies two floors. Already, the center boasts of experienced hands in the medical field such as Dr. Donnah Facey (Internal medicine, Harvard Medical School Graduate), Dr. Michael Nwakanma (Podiatrist-Foot Specialist), and other visiting Doctors and medical Experts. The Proprietor of the Center, Mr. Ebem who spoke with our staff on the journey of the Center so far, stated that the Center is poised to service patients of all class and status in the New York area and beyond. HOW IT HAPPENED: Dignitaries, friends, relatives, and clients of the center started arriving at 12 noon. Such dignitaries include Dr. Sunday T. Eke-Okoro (Dr. Med. Sc., M.Div.), Chief Dr. Ukpabi and Nneoma Commy Ukpabi, Rev. Dr. Mrs. Patience Oti, Dr. Bayo Sedeno (Rehab Director, SSMNH Nursing Home), Dr. Oyeyemi (Asst. Director SSMNH nursing Home), other therapists - Dr. Kenny Aberoje, Dr. John Falana, Dr. Festus Ayedun, Mr. Andrew Olawoye, Ms. Theresa Ogundipe, Chris Eribo Esq, Assistant D.A, and our own Oliver Mbamara, Esq. The Proprietor, Mr. Henry Ebem gave a short welcome address followed by opening prayer and dedication of the center led by Rev. Pastor S. T. Eke-Okoro. Mr. Henry showed guests around the facility and food and drinks were subsequently served. Guests continued to arrive till late at Night when our staff departed. Some other members of the press in attendance include Alex Kabba of African Abroad and James Kalu of Kalu Video Agency.
