accommodated during the premiere of the groundbreaking African action feature thriller -
SPADE: The Last Assignment, written and directed by Oliver O. Mbamara.
It took place at Abingdon Theater in New York

hailed by fellow African filmmakers as blazing the trail with SPADE:

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: In
SPADE: The Last Assignment, Special Agent Spade faces an imminent
decision to either quit the Special Police Detective Agency to settle
for a peaceful loving married life, or take up one last assignment to
topple the network of an international crime syndicate engaged in
stealing African artifacts and trafficking in women.

Tense Moment: Even crew members and screening organizers
would not be left out of the piece of the action during a tense moment
in the film
HOW
IT HAPPENED:
Filmmakers actors, fans, and members of the
press as well as other members of the public arrived in time for the
premiere. There was an initial cocktail hour of interaction followed by
some entertainment performances before the screening-proper started
preceded by trailers of other upcoming movies involving Oliver Mbamara
and his colleagues, Felix NNorom and Bethels Agomuoh. At the end of the film, a question and answer session
followed and was moderated by event coordinator, Eric Chifunda as guest
interacted with the filmmakers. This was followed by a photo and
autograph session. In attendance where such dignitaries from both
Hollywood and Nollywood such as American poet Laila Amatullah, Professor
Michael Laramee who is presently teaching his class with the film SLAVE
WARRIOR. Other dignitaries include: Dr. Chika Onyeani, Author,
Statesman, and publisher of African Suntimes; Chief Ted Jacobsen, the
American Nigerian installed Chief who also starred in the movie SLAVE
WARRIOR. Other filmmakers in attendance included Ade Adigun of Ade
Production and Togo Pictures who just premiered the new movie BEYOND
LOVE. With Ade was the star of the film, Oliver Djagli. BEYOND LOVE Is
billed for release very soon. Also in attendance were several members of
