premiered with a blast to a full house at Abingdon Theater in New York
City. Turnout for the premiere was so high that a follow up screening
had to be scheduled for those who could not be accommodated in the

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: In
SPADE: The Last Assignment, Special Agent Spade faces an imminent
decision to either quit the Special Police Detective Agency to settle
for a peaceful loving married life, or take up one last assignment to
topple the network of an international crime syndicate engaged in
stealing African artifacts and trafficking in women.

Filmmaker (Writer/Director) Oliver Oscar Mbamara signs

HOW
IT HAPPENED:
Nollywood and Hollywood filmmakers, actors, fans, and members of the
press as well as other members of the public arrived in time for the
premiere. The initial cocktail hour of interaction preceded the
entertainment session topped by a couple of performances by new singing
sensation David D'Amadeus. Trailers of upcoming movies were shown
and this was followed by the premiere-screening of SPADE: The Last
Assignment. At the end of the film, a question and answer session
followed and was moderated by event coordinator, Eric Chifunda as guest
interacted with the filmmakers. This was followed by a photo and
autograph session. In attendance where such dignitaries from the
entertainment world and other walks of life such as Jeanne Suggs,
American Film and Television Producer, Judge Mojgan Sobhani of the State
of New York, Regina Askia - former Miss Nigeria and Nollywood superstar,
Professor Chudi Uwazuruike – renowned writer, scholar, publisher, and
Nigerian statesman, David The Amadeus - new Sensational singer who
performed at the event, and other filmmakers from across the United
states such as Sam Onwuka from Maryland, Uzogood from Philadelphia and
Emeka Don from Connecticut. The Press was there including Afrikan Spot,
Nollywood NYC, Nollywood View, African Lifestyles Magazine, and others
too many to mention.
