Recently,
a reception was held in honor of the former Consul General of Nigeria in
New York, HRH Eze G. O. Okwuaka, Eze Ebube, Igwe 2 of Assah Ubirielem in
Orsu LGA, Imo State. Presently, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman,
Governing Council, Imo State University. The event was attended by
several members of the Nigerian Community in New York. Our men were
there to bring you the photo coverage of the event.

DISTINGUISHED
GUEST: The former Consul General of Nigeria in
New York, HRH Eze G. O. Okwuaka. His daughter sits to his right.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The event commenced with the Master of ceremony,
Chief Cyril Chimezie formally inviting the former Consul General, HRH
Eze G. O. Okwuaka, to the High table. He was ushered to the table by
Mrs. Anulika, Lolo Chimezie and others. This was followed by the
protocol of kola-nut presentation started by the Chairman, Chief Ben
Nnabuife and continued by HRH Eze G. O. Okwuaka, and other traditional
leaders in the house. Speeches were made by guests, host, and others.
there was refreshment and intermittent music and dancing before the
event later moved on to include the review of a book by TNJ Umunnakwe,
titled "Portrait of Excellence; The Biography of His Royal
highness, Eze G. O. Okwuka, MFR (The former Consul General). The told a
lot about HRH Eze G. O. Okwuaka, and the reverence that is due to him.
Attendees showed their respect for HRH Eze G. O. Okwuaka, and their
appreciation for the Biography by generously purchasing copies of the
book.
