Onyejekwe thanksgiving and wedding reception in New Jersey, September 2005

Thanksgiving/Wedding Reception: The Onyejekwe family give thanks to God while also celebrating their daughter's  wedding reception in New Jersey. Another colorful event of the summer.

HOW IT HAPPENED: It was another beautiful summer day as guests arrived and took their seats. CPA, Chuck Emeka welcomed everyone and invited dignitaries to the High Table before inviting the MC, Ngozi Kenkwo to take over the moderation of the event. Opening prayer was led by Rev. Ekezie assisted by Rev. Chris Anyanwu. Kola nut was presented and the chairman of the occasion Mr. Clem Eze assured that the traditional protocol was observed and with the help of other traditional dignitaries, kola was blessed and shared. The Bride and Groom were then ushered in by friends and relatives. After that, Engineer Emeka Onyejekwe and Mrs. Ivy Onyejekwe were also ushered in by friends and relatives dressed in an array of elegant traditional attire. Dinner was served followed by toast which was led by the special guest of honor - Chief I. N. Njoku accompanied by his Lolo S.C. Njoku. The Onyejekwe boys then entertained the audience to some performance. The bride and groom had their dance and the floor was opened for general dancing. Down the line, the audience was entertained by ladies in uniform sand also by the junior chicks. The bride's community presented the bride to the groom's community and that was followed by more dance, dance, dance with DJ Paul on the turn table. The party well into the morning when Lady Ivy Onyejekwe gave the vote of thanks and closing remark. Sponsors: Chief and Lolo Anamege, and Mr. and Dr. Mrs Obi Mbachu
