Chieftaincy Installation Ceremony of Emeka and KC Ochiagha in Imo State Nigeria, 06

Imo State Nigeria: Recently, Greg Emeka Ochiagha (Train Operator with The New York City Transit Authority) and his wife, Peace KC Ochiagha (Social worker with New York City Dept. of Homeless Services) were recently conferred with chieftaincy titles in Imo State Nigeria for their leadership, integrity, and services to the Community. Emeka was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Nwachimere Eze 1 of Obollo while KC was conferred with the title of Lolo “Ezinwanyidiuko 1 of Obollo.”

CORONATION: Eze Edwin N. Mbaeyi (KSC), Ogwugwu 1 of Obollo, crowns Greg Emeka Ochiagha as the "Nwachimereze 1 of Obollo.

The name "Nwachimereze" means "One ordained by God."

HOW IT HAPPENED: It was a bright sunny day and guests arrived early at Ochiagha’s compound where the pre-installation rites were performed. Emeka and his wife KC were counseled by incumbent elders and chiefs on the demands and responsibilities attached to their titles. The ceremony then moved in a motorcade comprised of family members, friends, other relatives, and well wishers to the Eze’s Palace in Obollo where Eze Edwin Mbaeyi and members of his cabinet received Ochiagha’s entourage. The installation rites of the Emeka and KC being the only conferment of the day was performed by Eze Mbaeyi in a swift and efficient manner that enabled attendees to proceed merrily to the residence of the Ochiagha's for a generous reception. There were enough food and drinks to go round the mammoth crowd. It was indeed a day of celebration, jubilation, and appreciation as people danced away into the night.
