The Obioha baby shower in New York, July 20, 2003

The Obioha family, friends and relatives held a baby shower for Mrs. Tessy Mclord Obioha (Deputy Editor, African NewsReel) on July 20, 2003 in New York. The event was widely attended and as usual, our men, Oliver Mbamara, Esq. and Sir Felix Citor Nnorom were there to bring you the complete coverage of the event enhanced with scintillating photo shots.

GOOD NEWS! The expected baby was safely delivered on August 4, 2003, and was quickly named McLean Obioha. You know what that means – It’s a boy!

AFRICAN WOMEN: bestow their joy and blessings on the expected baby. Tessy couldn't be happier.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The event commenced with attendees taking their seats in hush fashion until the arrival of Mrs. Tessy Obioha who was thrown the surprise of a baby shower. The audience then settled down to the food and drinks. Soon after, Mr. Mclord Obioha (“the man who did the deed”) was called upon to explain himself and what everyone was witnessing in Tessy’s appearance. The couple was then invited to cut the cake which was shared amongst the guests who in a toast wished the Obiohas the best with the expected baby. Guests continued to pour in and more food and drinks were served well into the morning, while some guests danced away to DJ Mohammed’s mix.
APPRECIATION: The Obiohas extend their appreciation to Martina “Unique” Ikenyionwu, Onyinyechi Nwosu, Cyndi Odinakachi, Chime Okafor, Helen Iwu, Mary Nkenke, Chima Ekezie, DJ Mohammed, Dorris Ukay, and all others who helped make the event work.
