Nigerian Nurses Association USA, Inc. Family Health Day, June 2004 

    The "First Annual Nigerian Family Health Day" took place on June 12, 2004, at Queens General Hospital. The program was free to all Nigerians and Africans at large. It featured tables and presentations by several professional organizations in the United States. The program was organized and hosted in partnership with Queens Health Network.

NURSES IN ATTENDANCE:  The audience get on their feet to enjoy the evening at the event.


HOW IT HAPPENED: The event started with the setting up of tables and gathering of NNAUSA members. The public gradually gathered and the Nurses attended to them, addressing their health issues. Several activities geared towards health awareness followed. The purpose of this event was to promote health, increase health literacy and provide free health screening to all Nigerians and Africans at large. that was significantly achieved.
