Inauguration of Nigerian Nurses Association In America, Inc., in New Jersey, Sept. 25, 2004

    The Nigerian Nurses Association in America, based in New Jersey recently held their inauguration ceremony at Sheraton Hotel in New Jersey.  With fifty-four ascertained members, two student members, and many new registrants, the event was widely attended by Nurses, Doctors and other medical and non-medical professionals alike. Family friends and relatives of the Nurses also turned out en-masse to support the inaugural and fundraising event. Our men, were there to bring you the complete coverage of the event with exclusive photo shots as usual.

HOW IT HAPPENED: By 8:00PM things were set up for the event and as guests arrived, the Sheraton  Hotel Venue, they were received and orderly ushered to their seats. The event commenced in earnest with the introduction of the MC of the occasion, Mrs. Jacinta Ogbonna by Association Publicity Secretary, Ngozi Onuoha. The MC then invited some distinguished guests including the keynote speaker (Dr. Adeniyi Ogunkoya) and the chief launcher (Mr. Clem Eze) to the high table. This was followed by the singing of the National anthems of Nigeria and the United States of America. Opening prayer was led by Pastor Toyin Laoye. After the keynote address and the President's address, there were a few jokes by Association Vice President, Mrs. Bisi Dada and Comedian Anozie Ugenyi, Dinner was served. There was a brief dancing session before the launching, and this was followed by more dance, dance, and dance, as the hall rocked with guests and nurses who shook to the music of DJ Kwash till morning.
