Long
Island: The
Nigerian Lawyers Association recently held its first summer picnic at
the Valley Stream State Park in Long Island. The turn out was
impressive as Nigerian Lawyers Association members and their friends
and families gathered to have some casual time of fun and relaxation
away from work and usual formal legal engagements. Below are some pictures from the
picnic courtesy of Kunle Deru.

HOW
IT HAPPENED:
The picnic was scheduled to last from 10:00AM to 8:00PM and it did.
Amongst the early birds were Yomi Ajaiyeoba and her daughter kemi, Billy
Enob, Kunle Deru, Tomi Deru, Duduyemi (NLA's office manager) Antoniette,
Bola Oloko and others. As the day progressed the attendees engaged in
games and other picnic activities balanced with feasts on Suya, fried
chicken, fish, ribs and other barbeque specials. More members came as
the picnic progressed and while some played soccer and table tennis,
others sat and engaged themselves in cheerful jokes and conversations.
The youngsters were there too and had the opportunity of meeting and
playing with each other. It was a succesful picnic that gave the lawyers
and members of their families the opportunity to relax, stay away from
the law, and mingle in a casual atmosphere.
