HIGHLIGHT
OF THE EVENT: The National Chairman in his address assured party members that NDP as a disciplined party will continue to use its Constitution as a parameter to appreciate each participant in our collective journey to Aso Rock come 2007. He further said, “The road may be bumpy, rough, and turbulent, but with our collective resolve, we shall navigate it until we get to our desired destination.” He also stated that the NDP is more of a project designed for the enthronement of General Babangida in 2007 through popular participation of Nigerians using the ballot box.
On behalf of the home-country office, the National Chairman acknowledged with thanks the effort of each and everyone present for making the event a reality within a short space of time. He characterized the efforts of the USA Chapter Chairperson, Princess Victoria Amu as “a thorn in our flesh” as she tries to build in to New York and consolidate on the opportunity, which this platform provides, to help the democratic process. He expressed his eternal gratefulness to all the wonderful friends, members and admires of NDP and Babangida, who have contributed to the success of this investiture.
NDP USA Chapter members also had the opportunity to meet with Prince Chudi Chukwuani, the Deputy National
Chairman, and Prince Ademola Ayoade, the National Secretary during their recent visit to the United States. The two reiterated the party’s determination to win the Presidency in 2007.
National Democratic Party supports the IBB presidency, and has adopted him as their preferred Presidential candidate for the 2007 general elections. The party will commission its new Abuja Headquarters in April 2006, as they gear up for the 2007 election.
