The NAACP recently presented its Annual Black Heritage Awards in Harlem New York.  Among the recipients were Dr. Chika Onyeani of African Sun Times, Rev. Dr. , Rubin Tendai, and Rev. Dr. Wayne Johnson. Sr. Our Publisher and Editor, Oliver Mbamara, Esq. was one of the attendees and took some time to bring you some of the exciting photo shots of the event.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The event was held at the CME Church Harlem and took off with a beautiful rendition of several songs including the Negro Anthem. Mistress of Ceremonies, Sheila Roberts Foster then took over the moderation of things. The Award Recipients were subsequently called upon and presented with the Awards which they all gladly received with speeches of acceptance. Other dignitaries in attendance include, Rev. Dr. Thomas P. Grissom, Prof Gambari, Nigeria's Permanent Representative to The United Nations, Rev. Maurice L. Bolden, Jef L. Greenup, Esq., Rev. O'Neil Mackey Sr., Ted H. Jacobsen, Secretary of New York City Labor Council Representative of Nigeria's Ambassador, and many others. Our own Oliver Mbamara, Esq., and Placid Aguwa, Esq., represented the Nigerian Lawyers Association of USA.
