New York: Members of the Mbano Community Inc New York, USA recently held their Annual Gala/Dinner event in New York. In attendance were friends and relatives of members of the association. The event was well attended and featured both male and female African entertainment spiced with African culture ad tradition.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Guests, friends, relatives, and others arrived in time for the dinner held at the Eastwood Manor in the Bronx. After the opening prayers, presentation of kola-nuts, and welcome address by the President of the organization, Mr. Edwin Iwuagwu, the MC, Mr. Frank Ekeigwe invited guests to the floor to dance the to the beats of DJ Paul. Soon after guests took their seats for dinner. After dinner there were a number of entertainment activities including the Ibo traditional "Ojionu" presentation by the men of Mbano and the "Ibo" women's dance presented by the colorfully and elegantly dressed Mbano women. Afterwards, there were more drinks and dance activities till dawn. |
