Majek Fashek stands apart from many reggae artists reconnecting the genre with African roots, he could play Rockin' Roll style, believe it or not. He can also get down with wicked Jazz tunes and Afro beats. So, you can see a complete special package of talent Fashek has.
This special event featured the Asiku musical group who opened the Show for "the Rainmaker" before he sang that "the sky looks misty and cloudy, it looks like the rain's gonna fall today, he proceeded to strike his guitar and singing "Send Down the Rain". About 10:30PM the show kicked off in a grovin style, with Fashek getting his fans already jumping up. In his music one can sense the influences of legends such as Bob Marley, Jimi Hendix and even Fela Kuti. He gave his fans about 3 hours of hot entertainment.
"A Little Patience" is currently ranked number-one on charts in Nigeria. Majek Fashek is expected to return to action on Friday December 30, 2005 to celebrate the New Years Eve with fans. Event is expected to bring fans from various states around USA and will take place at Gureje, 886 Pacific Street, Between Washington Ave and Underhill Ave, Brooklyn, NY
