We are here today for the 2003 New York, New Jersey Akagu National Convention. Will it be safe to say that this event is under the auspices of the Ehime World Congress?

Yes, the Ehime World Congress is an umbrella group that covers all the different villages in Ehime of which Umuakagu is one of them. They have raised quite some good amount today already and their target includes water provision for their people, continuing rehabilitation of schools, and the continuing electrification of the community.
AFRICAN EVENTS:
So, apart from the fundraising activity this night, is there a cultural message in this event today for those who expect some form of cultural awareness from African Events?

The cultural implication of what we are doing is that we are our brother’s keepers regardless of where we are. Regardless of how comfortable we are in our foreign settings, we remember those at home. We are extending our own largesse to enable them encourage others.
