The
service started at 1:00PM with The Rev. Ifeanyi B. Obiechefu and The
Venerable Ellis Ezenekwe presiding. All service ceremonies and protocols
were observed and the mass ended an hour and half later. At the end of
the service, Bishop Emmanuel Adekunle of the African Redemption Alliance
was given an opportunity to invite the congregation to the Alliance's
family Day care and after school program for children aged from 1 to 5
years. Some members of the congregation who stayed back were treated to
a luncheon during which members exchanged pleasantries and started
building a communion/relationship. A brief photograph session followed
thereafter.
The
Igbo service mass is scheduled for every second and fourth Sunday of the
month at 1:00PM. According to Rev. Ifeanyi, although the service is
being held in the Bronx, interested members from within and outside the
New York State area are cordially invited and welcome to attend and help
build the growing Igbo service.
