HOW
IT HAPPENED: The event ran from March 14 through March 18,
2007, with film screenings holding at various locations in the Atlanta
Downtown area such as the Regal Cinemas, Atlanta Fulton Public library,
Carter center, Atlantic Station Studios, and more. There were evening
events and a couple of after parties at places like Taboo Bistro, Verve
and Compound nightclubs respectively. Filmmakers and festival attendees
were able to relax, mingle, and enjoy at the end of each screening day.
The feature film screenings opened with the film SLAVE
WARRIOR on opening day and the subsequent days saw other feature
films like Pride and Anderson's Cross. Several shorts and documentaries
were also shown. Also, there were several workshops (and boot camps) for
Directors, actors, screenwriters, and other film Production crews. In
all, it was a rich and rewarding event for filmmakers and other
attendees.
