Hollywood Black Film Festival, Beverly Hills, L.A. '07 featuring SLAVE WARRIOR: THE BEGINNING

Hollywood, CA: The Hollywood Black Film festival 2007 was recently held (June 2007) in Beverly Hills California. Among the films officially selected for the festival was the new action adventure feature film titled SLAVE WARRIOR: THE BEGINNING which featured in the world cinema category representing African films. Our staff was there to bring you exclusive pictures.

HOW IT HAPPENED: The festival commenced on June 5, with an opening program that included an opening night party. By the next day, most filmmakers have arrived and screening of the films selected for the festival had started in earnest. There were shorts, documentaries, and feature films (which included SLAVE WARRIOR: The Beginning). There were also films for the student film categories and Storyteller Competition categories. Each day was capped with an after party event including an all-white party that took place one of the nights. The festival also featured several seminars, film workshops, and boot camp including a pitchaton. The festival wrapped up on Sunday June 10 with closing night festivities. Tanya Kersey , Founder Executive Director, HBFF and Jacqueline Blaylock , HBFF's Programming Director, conducted the closing ceremonies.
