THE Ekeigwe Family THANKSGIVING PARTY and CHRISTENING EVENT; JUNE 7, 2003

The Ekeigwe family held a thanksgiving party for Mr. Frank Ekeigwe's recovery and a christening event for two of their children Ugonne and IK jr. Ekeigwe at Eastchester Gardens, Bronx New York on June 7, 2003. RIGHT is the family. BELOW, Mr. Frank Ekeigwe gladly holds baby-Ugonne. BELOW RIGHT, Other mothers dance into the Hall with Mrs. Ngozi Ekeigwe.

COMPLETE PHOTO STORY BELOW

HOW IT HAPPENED: Despite the rain, attendees made it en-masse. The MC, Joseph Nwachukwu then recognized some dignitaries in the house including God parents, Prof. and Mrs. Chudi Uwazuruike. There was opening prayer and presentation of Kola-nut, an African tradition. Some other mothers in the house then accompanied Mrs. Ngozi Ekeigwe and two of the celebrating children (Ugonne and Ik jr..) into the Hall with some African motherly-dance-steps. Mr. Frank himself then stepped out into the Dance floor to show his appreciation for recovering from a health scare which occurred to him at the same time when baby Ugonne was being delivered. The Ekeigwe celebrants then opened the dance floor, with the audience joining them to celebrate. Dinner was served, the Toast was made, and after an interval, children were invited on stage for the cake ceremony which went well. From then, it boogie all night with DJ Kwash on the turntable. - DETAILED PHOTO STORY BELOW Courtesy, www.AfricanEvents.com
