The Baptism Ceremony of Chukwudi Nnorom in New Jersey, February 2006

New Jersey, USA: The family of Felix and Gold Nnorom recently held a baptismal ceremony for their son Chukwudi Nnorom. The ceremony took place at the All Saints Anglican Church in New Jersey. Our staff covered the event and brought you the exclusive photo coverage.

Rev. Canon Paul Ekezie lays the hand of baptism on Chukwudi Felix Jnr. Nnorom at the ceremony.

The name "Chukwudi" means "There is God" or "God exists."

God Parents, Basil Njoku and Florence in Norom were present during the ceremony. The third parent, Noble Chukwuonye was otherwise engaged.

Chukwudi looks on as his parents read from the sermon pamphlet during the mass.

HOW IT HAPPENED: Members of the congregation as well friends and relatives of the Nnorom family and that of the second family whose child was also scheduled to be baptized the same day arrived in time and took their seats. The officiating Ministers (Canon. Paul Ekezie and Rev. Joseph Nwachukwu) then took the pulpit and the mass commenced in full swing. At the appropriate time, the baptism of both children were conducted and the mass was concluded.

After the mass, the family of Felix and Gold Nnorom invited guests and attendees of the mass to share some food and drinks in appreciation of the successful baptism of their son, Chukwudi. Many of the attendees stayed back for the photographs before the occasion was formerly concluded.
