The wedding ceremony of Amarachi and Chukwuma in New Jersey 2009

New Jersey, USA:  A wedding reception was recently held to celebrate the matrimonial union between Amarachi and Chukwuma in New Jersey. Relatives, friends, and well wishers attended the event donning varieties of colorful African designs for an evening of cheers and nuptial celebrations. Our staff was there and below are some exclusive photos.

HOW IT HAPPENED:  Relatives, friends, and well wishers arrived in time for the wedding reception. Donning varieties of colorful African designs, they settled down to the decorated tables for an evening of cheers and nuptial celebrations. The MC, Chief Tony Duru kicked off the event by introducing the members of the high table consisting of various dignitaries including the chairman of the occasion, Chief Innocent Njoku, who with his wife, Lolo Njoku happen to be the marriage parents of the celebrants. Ceremonial protocols such as opening prayer, presentation of kola nut and welcome remarks were completed. The dinner was about being served when the crowd went into a frenzy as special guest of honor, Chief Chika Okpala (aka Chief Zebrudaya, alias 4:30) arrived with fellow comedian and filmmakers Oliver Mbamara and Felix Nnorom.  After some speeches, the cutting of the cake followed with the conventional toasts. The celebrants (wedding couples) then danced to some music before proceeding to change into their traditional outfit for another round of dance and celebration. The event then continued well into the night.
