The Ankara Night Event was recently held in New Jersey. It showcased a blend of African designs mostly based or motivated by the Ankara clothing material/design. That is in addition to all the good-looking African men and women in attendance.A number of Nigerian artists and comedians also performed at the event. The event was organized by Jade Image.

The NPA 2nd Annual Summit featuring an Arts & Entertainment Awards was recently held in Atlanta Georgia. The Award categories included a wide variety that included such roles as roles in a Movie, role as a Music producer, role as a Movie Producers, role as an Artist, as an actor/actress, Best Film, instrumentalists, Best Designer, New Artist, etc. In attendance were several entertainers, celebrities, and fans from across the world.

The Annual Nigerian Leadership Summit in New York, 2011
The Second Annual Nigerian Leadership Summit in New York was organized by Lead Nigeria and featured a number of professional, Adult and young Nigerian scholars and entrepreneurs discussing issues and points about improving leadership in Nigeria. The seminar also focused on leadership empowerment and attitude development towards an improved Nigeria
Scholars, professionals, students, the youth and the general public gathered again this year to discuss social and economic topics towards finding better and improved leadership for Nigeria. With keynote address by Oliver O. Mbamara and other erudite panelists in attendance, it was a worthy event.

Maryland, USA: The Nollywood Producers USA Award Night organized by Ghawood Angel Productions was recently held in Maryland USA to honor some African Filmmakers/Producers in the United States.
