The
African Students Union at New York University recently held their
inaugural seminar titled "Africans Helping Africans" It
featured some African Professionals and Executives. It was the first of
its kind and was widely attended by students of African as well as
non-African origin. Our Publisher and Editor, Oliver
Mbamara, Esq. was one of the panelists. Suffice to say that this
coverage was made possible by his attendance.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The event kicked off with the gathering of both
African and non-African students from all departments, race, and
culture. The President of the African Students Union, delivered her welcome address followed by the introduction of
the panelists - Dr. Prof. Boubakar Bari (Guinea), Mr. Babacar Ba
(Senegal), Mr. Makhtar Ndoye (Senegal), and Oliver Mbamara, Esq.,
(Nigeria). The speakers encouraged the students to keep up the good work
of remembering that they are Africans. They also gave tips to help the
students decide on their future careers and profession. As a
commendation of the students for their ability to be able to organize
themselves as Africans in an American University in an American Society,
our Publisher and Editor, Oliver Mbamara, Esq., autographed copies of
his 2nd and 3rd books for the Union. Refreshments were served and later
complimented by a variety of African Dishes made possible by the union. Our man who was present at the end, did not hesitate to treat
himself to the delicious delicacies that were available.
