Prof. George Elliot Clarke

Prof. George Elliot Clarke: 

In addition to being a poet, playwright and literary critic Clarke is the E.J. Pratt Professor of Canadian Literature at the University of Toronto. He taught English and Canadian Studies at Duke University (1994-1999). During 1998-99 he was appointed the Visiting Seagrams Chair in Canadian Studies at McGill University, then became professor of English at the U. of T. in 1999, before being appointed E.J. Pratt Professor in 2003.

African Scientist, Damian Anyanwu

African scientist, Damian Anyanwu born January 1957 in Nguru, Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria. He is ranked No. 3 of 100 most outstanding Nigerians. Chief Damian Anyanwu is considered to be the man who can make Africa a technological Continent. He is the founder of Damian Anyanwu Research Center inc (DARCI) here in US. The center based in New Jersey will be launching its branch in New York City April 2004. Black history month presentation Febuary 27, 2004 at Nigeria House, 828 Second Ave on 44th Street, NYC.  He was inducted into the Members of the order of the Niger. (MON) which has diplomatic status, he also toured around the Countries to conduct seminars and received awards from different universities and institutions of higher learning. His Radio transmitters were made from herbal granules stuffed in empty tins, wires and improvised local material. Few months ago, US president, George W. Bush invited Chief Anyanwu to Washington D.C for a presidental dinner where he was honored by the President and his cabinet
